Sunbursts are so in right now. Time to add one to your next project and enter it at Just Add Ink!
Every parent has photos like these right? I've been waiting to scrap this little beauty for a long time (this baby Penny of mine is now three). The sunburst was the perfect thing to draw all the attention to her and make the page fun and light.
I created a stencil out of a spare 12x12 sheet by drawing a circle, dividing it with eight lines to look like a pizza (16 segments) and then cutting out every second segment. Overlay it on white and spritz on your colour.
Crafting tip: Like the honeycomb pattern? Lightly rub your ink pad on the raised side of an embossing folder and 'stamp' it straight on your paper.
A gorgeous, fun page Susan. I how you made the rays a feature to draw the eye to your precious photo. The embossing folder tip is a great one - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAgree Susan we all have photos of our kids like this. MIne is of my daughter sitting on the kitchen floor with a tub of margarine at her feet and with more margarine over her and the floor especially! I love how you have used the sunrays to draw the eye to your beautiful little one.
