This month we're getting tropical with a handful of fun stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue. Perfect theme for me as a I dream of warmer weather now that we're on the downward slope towards Spring! We hope you'll get creating too.

I've seen a lot with the Tropical Escape suite, which is one of my tippy top faves in this catalogue, so I cranked it out to try something a bit different with it: A boy-themed birthday layout! Perfect with the tiger on his top don't you reckon?

Broadway Birthday - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Broadway Birthday Artisan Blog Hop! If you're looking for a brilliantly bright birthday theme - look no further! Black, Gold, Lemon Lime Twist and Lovely Lipstick... where my sunnies at?! I've used some of the papers and brought in other bright colours on these two cards. I do love a splash of Flirty Flamingo!

Hot Tip:

I'm all about the ruffles lately! For a double-sided mini ruffle like on card one, score a strip of cardstock and fold in half lengthways. Make small cuts with snips from the outer edges without getting too close to the fold. Unfold and adhere! You could also try layering a couple of ruffles under an edge like on card two!

Blended Seasons - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

My Artisan friends and I are so thrilled to share with you today some fabulous ideas for the upcoming 'Color Your Season' promotion. It's perfect for any time of year, wherever you are in the world! For this 'fields of gold' background, stamp on Shimmery White card stock in Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry and So Saffron. Spritz a few times with water and let dry.

Special thanks to my wonderful friend Pam and her gorgeous family for letting me use this photo! For this background, wash water onto Shimmery White card stock with your Aqua Painter. Then drop ink from the lid of your Stampin' Pad and let it pool. Dry it off with your Heat Tool, splatter with Aqua Painter and ink then dry it off again. It pays to lay it flat in a heavy book for a couple hours. I then stamped the leaves and coloured them with the Night of Navy and Gorgeous Grape pencils that come as part of this promo. So pretty!
