Welcome to the final Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog hop for 2018! My time as Artisan is up and - WOW - what an amazing year it has been. I'm so immensely proud of these gals and so deeply thankful for the friendships that I've gained in this group of diverse and talented artists. Thank you for joining us on the ride! We do it all for you!

In early November I hopped across the ditch to the Melbourne Onstage event for some time with my Aussie pals. (If you don't know, that's a bi-annual Stampin' Up! demonstrator par-ty!) Here's a little mini album I made to remember our weekend together...

I loved how each lunch pack on the day had a personal note from a staff member. If you're ever reading this - thanks John - you brought a smile to my face!

How To:

- Fold 5 Silver Foil-Edged cards inside out. Use more if you want!

- Glue together to create a book.

- For covers cut Designer Paper backing board into two 4 3/8" x 5 5/8" pieces.

- Cover in Frosted Floral Designer Paper - leave enough to wrap around and stick inside. 

- Attach ribbon to inside of centre edge of back cover. 

- Glue front and back covers on.

#SimpleStamping Stepped-Up! - Southern Serenade

Hey all - here's my post that featured on the Stampin' Up! Corporate Blog last week!

Stamps, ink and paper. They’re the stripped-back basics of stamping that we know and love. Quick and easy cards are where we all begin, but have you ever wondered exactly how to ‘step it up’ into an Artisan-quality project? Here’s an example to get you thinking…

Stamp sets like Southern Serenade (145921) are great for simple cards because they have versatile sentiments with one or two main images. They work well for single layer cards and basic layering.

TIP: For two-tone stamping like this, simply ink up the lighter colour ink on half of stamp at the edge of the Stampin’ Pad, then the darker ink on the other half before you stamp. If you have Stampin’ Write Markers on hand, use the brush ends to colour and then huff on it and stamp.

From there, when I want to #makeacardsendacard that’s extra special, it’s the texture that really does it for me. So, I stepped-up my basic design above with the Tin Tile DTEIF (147906), Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (109129) and watercolouring, Colored Doilies (146935) and trims (124262, 138401, 144128).

- Standard Card base - half an A4 (or 8 1/2” x 11”) sheet
- Optional extra white mat – 10.1cm x 14.4cm (4 1/8” x 5 3/8”)
- Pineapple Punch – 3 5/16” x 4 5/16”
- Shimmery White (or Whisper White) – 3 1/4” x 4 1/4”
- Lemon Lime Twist / Coastal Cabana – 1 1/8” x 2 1/8”

So Santa Christmas Card - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

So, I totally caved and bought the So Santa stamp set! My daughter and I have had lots of fun colouring with this set making simple cards for her school Christmas fair. Buuuut, I had to take this guy one step further to an all out beach scene. Isn't he jolly?! It's perfect for our warm Christmas holidays here in New Zealand.

Merry Christmas - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

We're feeling mighty festive this month as we play with the All is Bright suite from the Holiday Catalogue. Welcome to another Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team hop!

I made this sampler-come-scrapbook-page for display over the Christmas season and then for keeps in the album later. My white square bases are 3x3" and the next layer up is 2 7/8" square - I'm a narrow borders kind of gal! If you make these now and then, or are teaching them in a class, you can make a chipboard frame to help easily line up the squares - see below.

And while I was at it, I whipped up a couple of cards. I swiped the papers with Whisper White craft ink and added a little cluster on top! Super simple and easy to replicate!

Snowflake Showcase 2 - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome to our second Snowflake Showcase hop! (Missed the first one? Click *HERE*). For this month only, Stampin' Up! have these gorgeous products available and today I get to feature the Snow is Glistening stamp set. It was a perfect choice for one of my fav pics from visiting Canada this time last year - especially with the die cuts in White Velvet Paper! So it's a little hard to see but there are a bunch of snowflakes stamped in light grey on the background and the Christmas tree made a fun 'washi tape' look at the top left and bottom right of the page. I used Cherry Cobbler to match my cosy scarf!
